Connecticut Climate Progress:

Assessing Implementation of Executive Order 21-3

This report assesses the state’s progress toward implementation of Executive Order 21-3, issued by the Governor in 2021 requiring 23 climate actions to create a safer, healthier, more affordable Connecticut.

Historically, Connecticut has been a leader in climate action. The goal of this report is to gauge the administration’s progress towards achieving the climate directives set forth in EO 21-3, to celebrate the progress that has been made so far, and to identify items needing further action..

The Coalition is pleased to see that 56% actions have been completed and 34% were noted as some progress. We look forward to continuing work with state agencies and the legislature to continue progress on the actions that require further steps.
